4 Reasons to Start Learning on a Full Size Piano Keyboard

!±8± 4 Reasons to Start Learning on a Full Size Piano Keyboard

A Full size Piano Keyboard is a keyboard with keys of standard width and length. This is what all the keyboard players use, on stage or in studio.

Beginners, especially kids, begin learning on mini-keyboards. Reasons being, kids feel comfortable playing on the smaller size keys, since it suits their finger sizes and they are very light in weight. Very few adults start learning on mini-keyboards but even if they do, it is more from a cost perspective. They just want to test out themselves whether they are capable of learn the instrument before investing in a full sized keyboard.

But whatever be the case, as your keyboard skills become better over time, you will need to eventually go onto a standard size keyboard. Be it the quality of the keys, or the sounds, or the various functions, you will always find them to be more and better on a full size piano keyboard.

Here are some of the advantages of having a full size piano keyboard:

1. Lets you play exercises and songs comfortably

You can play difficult passages comfortably and at a faster pace with standard size key keys. With a mini-keyboard it is very difficult to play at a faster tempo because the keys are not very sensitive and are much smaller.

A full size piano keyboard will also have touch-sensitive keys which may not be the case with the smaller keyboards; a touch-sensitive keyboard will let you play with more expression.

2. Usually has minimum of 61 keys, which is ideal for playing with both your hands

A Full Size Piano Keyboard will have more than 61 keys which is what you need to be able to play with both your hands. You can learn harmonization since you will have more keys to use your left hand too.

3. Has good built-in speakers so the sound quality is better

A Full Size Piano Keyboard will have a good set of built-in speakers so that the output quality of the sounds is much better. You will enjoy playing the keyboard if it sounds good.

4. Have a lot of choices...from various Manufacturers.

With mini keyboards, you do not have many choices, only Casio makes them. But if you are looking for a full size keyboard, you will have plenty of choices from various manufacturers. That way you get a better deal too.

Some of the brands that you may consider are Casio-CTK, Yamaha PSR, and YPT series. If you need more than 61 keys, you may also have a look at some of the Korg and Roland models for a full size piano keyboard.

Casio CTK 496

!±8± Casio CTK 496

Casio CTK 496 is truly a rare find, with 100 preset songs that can teach you to play the instrument with ease. It is a compact replacement for bulky pianos or organs and would surely become a part of your entertainment. It allows for a 12-tone polyphony, making it a more versatile instrument as you can play up to 12 keys all at the same time.

Compared to other electronic keyboards, the Casio CTK 496 keyboard has 61 keys: a very rare feature for such a very affordable price. Its 61 keys are full-sized and therefore would not be a problem for those who are just starting to learn how to play the instrument.

In my case, I was captured by the simplicity of this product and the very realistic piano sound effect that it is able to produce. Aside from this, I found out that its sound quality is comparable to other products of its kind, although it might not sound the same as a 00-dollar keyboard.

The use of a Casio CTK 496 is recommended for:

people who want to play their music in private or otherwise those who deem it necessary to have MIDI functions for their music playing everyone who wants to enhance their playing skills with the use of sound effects people who need an affordable yet fully functional electronic keyboard beginners who want to learn better and apply various synthesizing techniques

The features of this product include:

a song bank with a hundred songs that you can play along preset rhythms and tones auto accompaniment that you can use as you play the keyboard a headphone jack that allows you to play it even in a common area (such as dormitory rooms, apartments, or at home where other people might be disturbed with your music playing) a microphone jack that lets you sing while you play MIDI functionality

I find it satisfactory even if it does not come with a power cable upon purchase. It was quite easy to find one as the specifications meets the standards for its type. I might be making an overstatement here, but I am pretty sure that this keyboard can give you the ultimate family entertainment even with a tight budget.

The only problem that I encountered with this product is that it has no touch-sensitivity, however this does not make it any less effective in creating good quality sounds. I think I might just be overreacting, given that I have quite an experience with musical instruments. Since this is so, I would suggest this particularly to beginners, though I still think that even advanced keyboard players would find the Casio CTK 496 worth every cent.

The Casio CTK 496 keyboard can also run on batteries, and amazingly lasts long even with just 6 AA batteries. With this unit being lightweight and easy to use, I think that you can enjoy using this instrument as much as I do.

Digital Camera Ratings - Kodak EasyShare V803

!±8± Digital Camera Ratings - Kodak EasyShare V803

When doing a digital camera rating it is becoming more and more common to have to rate the camera as a fashion accessory as well as a photographic device. Such is the case with the Kodak EasyShare V803 which comes in eight bright colors including Pink Bliss, Red Shimmer, Cosmic Blue, Mystic Purple, Golden Dream, White Glaze, Silver Essence and Midnight Black and provides you with standard features for point and shoot at a price tag in the 0 range. Beyond the basic features, the V803 has an amazing sensitivity range rising to 1600 ISO and will track and store frequently used settings. The camera is petite so it's transported easily, although it isn't the slimmest camera around. One other problem is the uncovered port which renders the camera vulnerable to lint and debris.

When defining the digital camera ratings for color performance, the EasyShare V803 falls well below the rest of the 2007 models. Faces will tend to appear greenish and skies will be an unnatural shade of blue. Only in the reds and purples are the colors fairly accurate. The EasyShareV803 performed within acceptable range for resolution, but was poor in the test for noise level, both at manual setting and auto settings. The V803 performed very poorly on the white balance settings, both on the auto setting and even more dismally on the presets. This results in a bluish cast to most pictures which is fine if you want to look like you take all pictures underwater. Color accuracy improves slightly as lights are dimmed.

The Kodak EasyShare V803 Digital Camera ratings for low light video conditions are dismal. At 30 lux, which is approximately the level of a low illumination night club, or a bowling alley, you would not be able to get recognizable pictures.

The components of the EasyShare don't measure up very well in digital camera ratings either. There is no viewfinder which is a growing trend amongst this type of camera. The display screen is used as a preview option. The flash attachment is totally ineffective both in range and in brightness. The zoom lens has some nice features, such as the ability to capture group shots, but the mechanical part of the zoom is so loud it is audible in video shots. The V803 does not feature image stabilization which is a nice touch in the 3x zooms.

Why you should buy an electronic keyboard?

!±8± Why you should buy an electronic keyboard?

Many people will buy a battery to run a keyboard electronic toy keyboard. Most often the reason, safety and price. Of course, a toy version is much less expensive than an electronic version, but if you're really in electronic keyboards is therefore something you should consider what you do. Here we discuss the very particular sound that is produced technical, while the use of certain types of instruments can.

In general, an electronic keyboard, the species has the followingQuality. It is a so called touch response with an after-touch effect. Touch response is actually a sensitivity to touch, to express that these keyboards when you play hard or soft.

This quality allows players to long tones and short, deep and delicate to create the same sound. Everything depends on the pressure and duration for which you are using a particular key. The touch after that is also a similar type, which modulate the sound depending on the pressureApplication to every single key.

Then there's polyphony refers to the total number of sounds you can play at any time. Children usually play the cheap keyboards single note at a time, while the more expensive professional tone types that can be played simultaneously. A maximum of ten notes played simultaneously in all high-end keyboard.

After this we come to the tone more, rhythm, tempo, and the point of division. The function allows multi-timbralThey play many types of instruments at the same time. For example, you can use, violin piano and harmonium playing all at the same time, this multi-timbral. If you control the pace that you decide exactly what speed you want and how fast you need is easy.

You can slow down and Quicken with a push of a button. With the division point, but can you leave the keys in two different sections where each section plays a different instrument on the other. Saytwelve keys of the piano, while the rest play the mandolin. This is only possible with an electronic keyboard, and you might find that you can buy for about the same price of a toy piano.

!±8± Buy Keyboards - How do you find the keyboard ideal for you?

Keyboards buy can be a bit 'confusing because there are literally hundreds to choose from. We hope that this guide will help you make some of the secrets of the process.

Asking questions

* What kind of keyboard do I need?

The answer to this question depends on what you want to do with the keyboard.

Digital Pianos

If the plan is your main concern then you probably need a digital piano. Digital pianos are essentially twoTypes: the "console" that looks like a normal piano, and the "stage", which is the flat plate-like version. If you have a digital piano for home, and wants to leave most in one place, then how could you access the console. If you want to be running or just a more portable, then you should enter that phase.

Which style you choose, there are basic considerations:

Number of Keys

Although several options are available, I recommend a digital pianowith 88 keys like a piano. With less will severely restrict your game.

Action

If you feel like a real piano, weighted keys that you want this quality can be improved with the hammer, but this is not absolutely necessary.

Touch Sensitivity

That is, if you press a key harder it will be louder - a must for a true piano sound.

Synthesizer

In essence, a synthesizer is a keyboard that produces sound. Most of them are now digital, means that they sample the sounds and stores them on ROM. They also have memory slot, where sounds, you can create are stored.

Workstations

A workstation may be thought of as a composition in miniature, recording and production studio. Most jobs have a variety of shooting functions such as the possibility of audio, an internal hard drive, multi-track record of recording, built-in CD burner, workstations, etc., are the world's top professional keyboard, and represent theauthors, experts and producers the tools they need to make craft, edit and finalize songs.

* How much can I invest?

The price of digital pianos that range from several hundred to several thousand dollars. The price depends on each instrument functions such as sound and responsiveness, the quality of the samples, the feel of the keyboard, the quality of the speakers, and even the surface of the body in case the console. Its decision based on who could use itthat (you think twice before buying a digital piano for $ 15 000 children) and how it is committed to your game.

The cost of buying other types of keyboards ranging from a few hundred to several thousand, depending on their properties.

You can get very good rates for one of these keyboards online retailers. Find great deals online on keyboards, accessories, music and books on my site.
